Anthony Everest's - Other Musical influencies include:
Songwriter/Singer: All kinds of music but, expressively, Jazz, (Ballads/Swing), Soul, Blues, Reggae & Gospel. I guess, naturally; I am a Jazz-Soul Singer. But I can write or sing anything else if I want to.
For me Pop is always arguable. What is pop? Anything popular; I guess.
My primary source of inspiratiion is Spirituality. The notion around 'God' and as God Is Love, it's no surprise I connect with Love songs, life and it's sentiments. There's nothing foolish about it. It's just a personal conviction, journey and place I've re visited many times over! I can write a book about that - but not today.
To live, or exist, or be without Love, will mean, we are Spritiually and Physically Dead! So in fact,, we all need God and we need Love. And that's the only answer to the world today.
Artistes like *Billy Holliday*, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James. Sarah Vaughn, Peggy Lee, Jimmy Scott, Rat Pack, Norah Jones, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey & Aretha Frankln have influenced the repatoire greatly.
Elivis, Amy Winehouse, Aereosmith and Coldplay, Guns N Roses, James Morrison, Brandy, Monica, Leona Lewis, Dolly Parton, Louie Armstrong etc. Pavarotti & Andre Bocelli too are hot favourites.
Anthony Everest became the London UK, act to score a No1, on the UK Jazz Charts with "Follow Your Dreams" a self penned track, for 25 Weeks. At the same, he was No1 on the Global Jazz Charts for 8 weeks, beating major recording artistes to the top spot - like Chaka Khan, Patti Labelle & Madonna.
Similarly, held then No1 Spot on the Reverbnation, UK R&B/Soul Chart for 4 weeks.
Anthony Everest, was alo the Top 20, on Myspace Jazz Charts, as a, Singer-Songwriter, with his own composition, Groomed For Stardom.
God Bless the Child by Billy Holliday, a composer / Jazz legend is one of Anthony's Jazz Favourite.
However, my all time favourite Jazz Ballad to sing and listen to is one of many, but this has always done it for me, Nina's version of My baby cares for me & Louie Armstrong's: What a Wonderful World. I do a unique version of them.
Billy Holliday and Jimmy Scott: are some of the likend artistes of our generation that Anthony Everest has been compared with. To find out more about Jimmy Scott, follow these links:

On the Gospel tip: Yolanda Adams, Kim Burell, Mary Mary & Helen Baylor: "Highly Recomended" - is the first recording, I listened to that compelled me to sing. After, Whitney Houston's Video clip of "Run To You" from the body guard movie. Both were my frist No1 sources of inspiration. But I still think it's what I make of it.
I started singing in church and school choirs. At Ithe time, I did not understand music was important or will be, in my life until much later - when I became a songwriter and became intoxicated by it.
Its such a liberation to find my voice after it seemed like I lost it - those years ago!
